Gobi desert is the largest desert in the Asian-Mongolian continent. A magnificent stretch of bare land with incredible landscapes spreading across two countries- China and Mongolia. The presence of the Himalayas on one side, makes it a rain shadow region. This place experience very less or no rain. This is why the region which sprawl across 1600sq.km remains a desert.
