Manipaara is an enchanting place with beautiful brooks and streams flowing down a steep rock. Lying 300m above sea-level, this rock called Manipaara, has a smaller rock on its summit which is triangular in shape. If you hit it was a stone, it gives a clink which sounds similar to the one you hear while hitting a copper vessel. This tone is called the ‘Manikkallu’. Be it summer or rainy season, the waterfall here is always splashing and plunging down the rock. So, this place is also known as ‘Erappu’. Unfortunately, this place is yet to become popular as a tourist spot. This scenic area lies in 6 acres of Revenue surplus land.
The water to the Manipaara originates from a spring in the Keezhillam hill and flows down to the Muvattupuzha which is 12km away. Climbing Manipaara is a bit risky and adventurous. If not careful, there is a chance to slip and fall from the steep rock. This is why most of the visitors here are usually college students from southern part of the district. Although there haven’t been any major accidents yet, people trying to climb the rock in intoxicated state is highly dangerous.  Manipaara lies just 1.5km away from Navajeevan junction at M.C raod in Keezhillam. The famous Kallil Cave Temple is just a few miles away from here. This place has a good chance to be one of the most important tourist area. The natives of Keezhillam are also ready to give away land for the same if the government will take initiative to develop the place.
