It is for the first time that a panchayat has commenced a basket boat safari for the tourists. One can reach Seeththodu Panchayat in Pathanamthita district after travelling for 40km from Pathanamthitta. This innovative project is mainly intended for the tourists visiting Kakki, Gavi and Nilakkal. For this purpose, basket boats were brought from Hogenakal in which four persons can travel at the same time. These basket boats also known as coracles, are safe for boating along the streams. We can travel through the stream for about 1km, enjoying the mesmerizing beauty of the forest and inhaling fresh pure air. Not only that; Tourists who plan to go to Gavi can continue their journey from the destination.
