Muthukurissi is a beautiful village in Elamkulam Panchayat in Pernthalmanna Taluk, Malappuram. Here lies a magical world for nature lovers. The road to the west takes you to Perinthalmanna while the road on the east takes you to a bridge built across the river Thuthapuzha to Cherpulassery. In short, this means you can reach the bund from both Malappuram and Palakkad districts. This bund was constructed by the irrigation department in 2015. Since the region is a typical village area, the locals have had no issues with visitors enjoying themselves diving into the river yet. Let’s hope that in the coming years this attitude wouldn’t change with more visitors flocking to the region.
