The Bharatpur National Bird Sanctuary (Keoladeo Ghana National Park Bharatpur) in Rajasthan, is one of the favourite spot of bird lovers in Agra, Delhi and other parts of North India. The distance from Delhi to the National park is 225km while it is 52km from Agra. Every year around one lakh people visit the park which is one of the best bird sanctuaries in Asia. Keoladeo Ghana National Park is the home to four hundred species of birds which number in thousands. Winter season is the ideal time to visit the park as this is the time when migratory birds flock to the area.

Bird viewing is at its peak during early morning and evening. Water to the park is brought from a nearby dam. Other vehicles are not allowed inside the park. But walking along the path slowly watching the birds is a unique experience which you won’t get while riding in a vehicle. Other than birds, one can also view deer, wild boar, snakes, tortoise and even wolves in the park.
