The most popular tourist spots in srirangapatna are the following. Daria Daulat Bagh- This was the palace of Tipu Sultan and Hyder Ali. Triveni Sangam- It is the confluence of three rivers, the kaveri, Hemavathi and Lokapavani. A ride in the basket boats here is an amazing experience. These three places are in the same route in Srirangapatna. Once you reach Srirangapatna while travelling from Mysuru to Bengaluru, you will see two roads to the left and right. The construction of the church was started by the Mysuru King Krishnaraja Wodeyar in the year 1933 and took eight years to complete. This church has stained glass windows and a hall which can seat about 800 people. The glass windows depict pictures of important events from the life of Jesus. There are two large statues of Jesus Christ and St. Philomena here. The twin spires in the Cathedral was inspired by the St. Patrick’s church in the New York city. Tourists should never miss a chance to visit this monument.
