The most beautiful lake in Ooty is undoubtedly an artificial lake at the foothills constructed by John Sullivan in the year 1824.  This man-made lake attracts thousands of tourists every year. The Tamilnadu Tourism Department beautified the lake again in the year 1973 to attract the tourists. The main attraction here is the boat safari. This lake reflects the beauty of all the valleys in Ooty. It is the celebration time when tourists flock to Ooty during the flower festival.
