Koomba Mala in Kozhikode district

Kakkad Eco-Tourism begins just two kilometers away from Eengapuzha. Koomba Mala which is a part of Kakkad, is situated in Puthupadi session of Thamarassery range. This beautiful spot lies 1160m above sea level. The hill is 3800 feet tall. This picturesque place has many streams with fresh cool water that can be used for drinking as well as bathing in the forest. Permission from the Forest Department is a necessary prerequisite to climb the hill. Night camping is allowed only during summer season. Tramping along the dense forest path untrodden by human footsteps, enjoying the wild beauty and music of the forest is going be a life-time experience to the travelers.
