Thannithode
It's one of the village in Pathanamthitta district. It's surrounded by forest on its four sides. Racism has not yet spoiled the place. Dish antennas are common over all the roofs. On one side it's hilly area and in the other it's low line areas. As the height increases the beauty also increases. Houses are built with fences made out of rock which has got a height of two or three person. In coordination with that height there are transverse steps. From down the house along with cowshed that has got cow and ox can be seen. Early morning people start working. The cows that go around grazing create traffic problems in between. Early morning milk sellers and buyers walk through the road. On left side house are built downhill. Close to the houses small pavements that leads to houses can be seen. Most of it end in river. River that flies downhill cannot be easily located from above. But the hills beyond that with greenery along with variant colours of leaves such as light red colour of the new leaves and yellow colour of ripen leaves can be seen in the midst misty atmosphere. If the original village life gives joy and pleasure, this place has to be definitely be visited.
