This beautiful village lies just 15 km away from Thrissur town. You can reach here from Tirur or Athani via Shoranur route. A scenic place full of flowers, trees, rocks and irrigational dams, this is one picturesque place not to miss. The main attractions here include the Poomala dam, the Pathazhakkund dam, Cheppara and Pamboorampara. You can stay at the Eden valley resort next to the dam. There is also a ‘De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center’ close by. Boating and horse riding are provided to attract the visitors. On top of Cheppara rock, there are many historic ‘muniyarakal’ or caves which were used by the sages to meditate. The Pamboorampara rock is a fascinating sight inside the small forest here.
