But there is another facet of Goa which is an exotic land rich in natural landscape. It gives us an excellent view of the Konkan Railways which had brought India’s engineering skills in front of the world. For this you just have to travel in a train from Margao to Castle Rock in Karnataka covering a distance of 80km. The railway lines pass through more than twenty big and small tunnels and magnificent bridges that are built across mountains. The old railway stations on the way will make you nostalgic. To cover the 50km from Calem to Castle rock, the train is connected with 4-5 engines to move on. The slow journey will bring you many unforgettable sights throughout the way.
