This beautiful reservoir lake lies 16km deep inside the forest in Tamilnadu –Kerala border. You have to get the permission from the Tamilnadu forest department to access the area. Reach Moir Point check post (on the way to Guna Caves) and get an entry pass. Only 20 vehicles are allowed on a single day. Bikes and bicycles are not allowed inside the forest. Visitors can also avail mini buses owned by the forest department to reach Berijam Lake. Before entering the forest, we have to provide all our details and license number to the check post officer. The vehicles are allowed to enter the forest at 10 am. On the way to the Berijam Lake, the visitors get to see the fascinating view of Silent Valley, Mathikettan  Shola and so on. The journey through the forest observing and enjoying the scenic beauty is an unforgettable experience. There are a few things that you have to note while travelling through the forest. 1. Do not horn unnecessarily as it disturbs the wild animals. 2. Do not throw plastic materials inside the forest. 3. Drive slowly and carefully. 4. Always carry your food with you since there are no shops inside the forest. 5. Always follow the instructions given by the forest department.
