Kibber is the highest lying village in the world. This beautiful village is situated in Himachal Pradesh and is 14587 feet above sea-level. World’s highest post office is situated in Hikkim a village nearby. Both these villages belong to Kaza, the stunning capital of Spiti Valley. The locals here are self-dependent, never relying on people outside their region. They cultivate the food crops they need like paddy, wheat, peas and nuts. Kaza is a quiet village with very few houses made of simple stones and people who graze cattle amidst green pastures and fields where they grow wheat and other cereals. They use the clean pure water that flows down the snow-clad mountains. The clear blue sky and the snow mountains give a spectacular beauty to the place. No wonder it’s a paradise on earth. The Kaza food is similar to Chinese dish. They boil leaves and vegetables in water, add chicken and make delicious soups
