Not many have heard of the natural beauty of Kadaloor view point otherwise known as Nandi light house and Theekodi beach which are located near Koilandi at Kozhikode. The destination route is via Koilandi, without entering the Nandi bridge, take the left road and go forward, at the first junction turn left, go straight in this road which leads to the destination. Ask the local inhabitants for further clarification. A gate welcomes you there, through that light house compound can be reached. From far light house distant view is evident. On the one side, there are house of light house workers. Entry fee is Rs.10, camera fee is Rs.20, mobile phones are not allowed. Once inside the light house, curved stairs leads upstairs. On top of light house there are two mansards,the top most floor has got the light for ships, the floor below has got the battery and museum. Even though it's 108 years old, it's still strong. The highest view point is situated on the top most light room, from there Arabian seas entire beauty can be visualised, on the left side, Kollam Parapally is seen. On its right side, Velliyamkalle. If the atmosphere is clear, Kozhikode beach can also be seen. As a whole, entire beauty of surrounding places can be seen from here. Crowded coconut grooves, buildings, schools and mountains can be seen as a dot. Entry is permitted between 4am to 6pm. After 6pm Light house lamp will be lighted.
